Service Changes - Commencing Monday 1st April 2024

Commencing Monday 1st April 2024, following a retendering process by Norfolk County Council, there are changes to a number of our local village bus services in the North Walsham and Cromer areas.

We are pleased to have been re-awarded contracts to operate these services again and look forward to serving our loyal customers for the years ahead.

New 15 | 15A

Operating Monday to Friday, we are pleased to be introducing routes 15 and 15A. The 15 will run between Cromer and Sheringham via Aylmerton, Gresham and Felbrigg Hall National Trust estate. Buses will also serve Common Lane and Woodland Rise West in Sheringham.

This service will run alongside weekly services 16, 17, 19 and 20.

Route 15A will operate between Aylmerton and Sheringham High School replacing existing service 403.

These services have been funded by Norfolk County Council via the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) and the UK Government.

16 | 17 | 19 | 20

We are continuing to operate our market day services 19 on Mondays and Wednesdays, 16 on Tuesdays, 17 on Thursdays and 20 on Fridays.

· All services will now operate between Cromer and Aylmerton via Felbrigg and Felbrigg Hall National Trust estate.

· 17 & 19 will now serve Woodland Rise West and Common Lane in Sheringham instead of Upper Sheringham. Upper Sheringham will still be served frequently Monday to Friday by route 9.

· 20 will operate a revised route from Gresham serving Bessingham, Matlaske, Little Barningham, Corpusty and Edgefield.

18 | 18A

A revised timetable will be in operation with a new timetable to better match local demand. Journeys will depart North Walsham for Cromer at 08:55 and 11:55, returning from Cromer to North Walsham at 10:05 and 13:05.

The route is amended between Metton and Cromer to operate via Felbrigg Village and Holt Road into Cromer, providing a new link to shops and supermarkets including Lidl and Co-op. Aylmerton will be served by new service 15.

Additional 18A journeys will continue to run on Schooldays for Aylsham High School and Paston College.

This service will no longer operate on Saturdays.

A new timetable will be introduced aimed at providing a better link from rural villages into North Walsham Travel Hub to make connections to X55 departures for Norwich, X6 departures for Stalham and Great Yarmouth and CH2 journeys departures for Cromer.

· New early 07:05 departure from Happisburgh serving Ostend, Walcott and Bacton direct to North Walsham to connect with the 07:40 X55 to Norwich.

· Later 17:10 departure from North Walsham towards Sea Palling.

· New 34A operating from Catfield to Stalham Schools via Hickling replacing existing service 704.

Revised route commencing from Bacton, serving Walcott, Ostend, Happisburgh, Lessingham, Ingham, Sea Palling and Hickling before Catfield. Students who currently use this service from Stalham are to use 6 and X6 services.
