Free 24/7 bus travel for disabled bus pass holders from 1st February 2024

Norfolk residents who hold an English National Concessionary Travel Scheme disabled bus pass will be able to use their pass at all times from 1st February 2024.

The decision, which was published this week by Norfolk County Council, means that more than 14,500 people across the county who hold a concessionary bus pass due to disability, and their eligible companions, will now be able to travel on any bus at any time free of charge across Norfolk.

Currently, disabled concessionary pass holders are only able to use their bus pass in off peak periods - after 09:30 Monday to Friday and at all times on weekends. From Thursday 1st February 2024, passes will now be accepted at all times, including pre-09:30 on weekdays.

Sanders Coaches Ltd. are pleased to be able to offer this, in partnership with Norfolk County Council, and look forward to welcoming you onboard. We hope this change will open up new travel opportunities across our network and give greater flexibility for those heading to work, school, college or enjoying a day out!

*Applicable to ENTCS Disabled Bus Passes only - these are similar to the specimen above and will be orange in colour.
