We have been working hard behind the scenes with Norfolk County Council on some projects that will, we hope, be of tremendous benefit to the residents of North Norfolk the first part of these we will be delivering on January 2nd 2023 New Timetables are now available on the buses. Our 4 new vehicles are now receiving their livery and have been named after 4 of our long serving team members - (526) Roger Parker - (527) Brian Billman - (528) Joe Cook - (529) Martin Wise. See our fleet section and fleet numbers 526 to 529 for more detail on their service records. Don't forget the £2 Single fare cap is in place from Jan 1st to March 31st 2023 so maximum fare is 2 x £2 singles for a return trip
- The X55 from Nth Walsham to Norwich will become a high frequency, 7 days a week direct service between Nth Walsham and Norwich City Centre, using Brand New Single Deck buses similar to the coasthopper fleet as pictured. This will shorten the journey time to under 50 minutes, will increase the frequency to almost half hourly and add a later bus back from the city. This will also give more opportunity for our other services X6 / 6A 18 / 34 / CH2 to connect at North Walsham's new Travel Hub and whisk you to and from Norwich to get back in time for your connections home. The new X55 service will also run hourly on Sundays. TIMETABLES will be avalable from around the 15th December. Departure times Mon - Sat from Nth Walsham travel Hub - 0640 - 0710 - 0740 - 0800 - 0855 -0935 - 1005 - 1035 - 1110 - 1150 - 1235 - 1320 - 1405 - 1435 - 1505 - 1545 - 1615 - 1640 - 1730 - 1830 ( 0640 does not run on Saturdays ) Return times from Norwich Bus Station Bay P will be at 0758 - 0850 - 0920 - 0950 - 1030 - 1100 - 1130 - 1205 - 1245 - 1330 - 1415 - 1500 -1530 - 1610 - 1640 - 1710 - 1740 - 1825 & 1925 SUNDAYS every hour at 35 minutes past the hour from Nth Walsham starting at 07.35 last bus at 17.35 and every hour at half past the hour from Norwich Bus Station Stop P from 0830 to 1830.
- The 210 Service from Nth Walsham via Badersfield and Buxton will also get a new Sunday Service approximately 2 hourly. This will replace the 5A which will be discontinued. Departures from Nth Walsham at same time as previous 5A . The 210 on a Sunday will also serve Ivy Road, Lilian Road, Rosetta Road and Park Road in Spixworth.
- Holt Town Hopper has been revamped into a circular service commencing on 3rd January, Instead of turning round at Kelling Hospital / Doctors Surgery and heading back the reverse of the way it came, it will now turn left as it exits the Hospital and go up the bypass back to Heath Farm Estate and start its route all over again. Change for passengers is you will need to get back on where you got dropped off as the bus will only use the one set of stops so to get back from town you will now need to be outside the Hospice Shop and not at the bus shelter. Benefit is more journeys per day.
We are excited to be delivering improvements in what has been a very challenging period over the last few years. We hope that you will give your full support to our drivers and staff as they bring you some major improvements to rural bus travel.
