We are pleased to announce that our X55 service, which we relaunched in January, has been nominated for the Best Bus Service award at the 2023 National Transport Awards. What's more, we've received the news that we have made the shortlist of finalists!
The award ceremony will take place on Thursday 5th October 2023, hosted by television and radio presenter Jeremy Vine.
Unfortunately we were not successful in winning the award but were highly commended for our contribution to maintaining rural transport in North Norfolk in partnership with Norfolk County Council.
The X55 runs seven days a week, half hourly between North Walsham and Norwich using a fleet of four brand new single deck buses. We relaunched this service with the help of Bus Service Improvement Plan funding awarded to Norfolk County Council by HM Government to improve rural bus services. Since its relaunch in January the service has grown from strength to strength, making a name for itself as a reliable and cost effective travel option.
We are very thankful to our staff at North Walsham depot for their hard work delivering the service, and to our loyal customers for their support and custom.
